"Powering the Project Economy", Speaker: John A Rush, Central Region Virtual Meeting (Mooresville & West Lake Norman)

Ways of Working

Topic: "Powering the Project Economy" - Empowering people to make ideas a reality.

Presentation Description:  How project professionals can successfully manage the impact in disruptive times – and not just cope with change, but really embrace it. In the short term, the necessity for many global organizations to work virtually during and after the COVID‐19 pandemic will have long‐term and wide‐ranging effects on the way they operate. There will also be many long‐term changes that we can’t fully anticipate yet. As we adjust to this new normal, there are several ways you can effectively manage large, cross‐functional teams that are highly dispersed. Adopting agile methodologies, leveraging technology, and staying focused on the customer will increasingly govern how we execute projects in this future of work. By leveraging PMI's vast network, certifications, and strategy, you will be ready to power the project economy.

Learning Outcome:

  • How to adopt Agile methodologies and leverage technology to stay focused on the customer.
  • Leveraging PMI's vast network, certifications and strategies to manage the impact in disruptive times.
