Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I)

This idea came in late 2019 when PMI Global recognized the need to reaffirm to commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Following a series of conversations and World events, July 2020 marked the official launch of the Social Good Initiative to support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I). The DE&I committee for PMI Carolina was born in 2021 when the new president assumed.

The DE&I committee supports PMI’s commitment to driving and maintaining an inclusive culture that recognizes the value of the diverse individuals who represent it. The DE&I provides guidance and feedback to staff on best practices in DE&I to support PMI’s DE&I strategy on a local and Global Level with a local lens.

PMI is committed to cultivating a culture of inclusion and belonging and is working to make that a reality within our community and beyond. As our work advances in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I), we recognize that this is a journey, and part of that journey is providing spaces for our community to learn and grow.	To ensure that PMI Carolina maintains a culture that recognizes the contributions and interests of the diverse cultural and social groups that comprise our member, volunteer, and community member groups.	Welcoming Project Professionals, Teams, and Students from all industries and roles to an inclusive space for learning, sharing, networking, giving back, and growing.
