Many studies about project managers focus on their technical and action-oriented roles. However, the project managers’ (PM) ability to initiate behaviors that result in an envi-ronment of collective enthusiasm, confi-dence, and critical thinking needs attention. In this session, four elements of transforma-tional leadership will be applied to project management processes to show how behav-iors initiated by the project manager can drive team responses that impact project per-formance.
