Speaker Bio:
As a Lead Software Engineer at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, I am responsible for everything from software design to data analytics to infrastructure. It was when I began working at Northrop Grumman, that I decided to officially turn to computer science full time. Approximately 8 years, 12 programming languages, 18 hackathons, and over +10000 Github commits later I have done software development in the following industries: real estate, aerospace, financial software, internet marketing, and currently film/entertainment. One of my true passions, in addition to working with technology, is teaching, inspiring, and leading others who are interested in pursuing careers in tech-related fields. A few years back, I began managing projects/engineers and learning the agile scrum method for deploying software at the Academy, and ever since I have been refining my skillsets to ensure successful project launches.
