"Why Sharing Your Story is Important.", Speaker: LeRon L. Barton, West Region Virtual Meeting (Asheville & Fayetteville)

Power Skills

Presentation and takeaways:

Even in settings with multiple people and identities, the general narrative is still dominated by whiteness. This can often lead minoritized people from thinking that their stories and experiences aren’t important. In this talk, LeRon Barton will discuss why storytelling is important to changing the dominant narrative, how it empowers us, and inspires others to share their stories when we share ours.
