Presented by Rich Sauser

Join Rich Sauser, PMI Metrolina's VP of Marketing, in discussing how social media should be part of every project manager’s tool kit. LinkedIn has over 562 million members worldwide and it is imperative for you to have a LinkedIn profile to be considered relevant in today’s working world. Unfortunately, over 50% of LinkedIn members are inactive on LinkedIn and that can limit their career opportunities. As a project manager, you have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership through the effective use of social media. With social media, project managers have the chance to build, maintain, lead, motivate, and inspire their teams. Attend this fast-paced session to find out how you can increase your professional engagement on social media and improve your personal brand.

Rich is a risk, security, and project management professional specializing in the area financial services technology. He is a business-oriented, accomplished leader experienced in managing risk management programs and multi-million-dollar technology projects for renowned corporations including Bank of America and Morgan Stanley.  Rich is also the founder of The Public You and has trained thousands of people on how to use social networking sites to help build careers and land a new job.  He has been featured on WCNC and numerous times in the Charlotte Observer for his work with helping people improve their careers. In addition to conducting workshops for conferences, professional organizations and companies, Rich works with most of the job support groups in the greater Charlotte area and created the “Charlotte in Transition Support” website. Rich serves as the Social Media Chairperson for the PMI Metrolina Chapter and is a member of the ISACA Social Media Advocates group.

Hope to see you at the meeting!

Chapter Meeting Presentations
As a means of helping chapter and local community members who are certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) satisfy the continuing education requirements for re-certification, PMI Metrolina Chapter arranges its monthly meeting schedule to allow a 1.5 hour PDU training session to be incorporated into its normal meeting.

Topics presented during these sessions are designed to not only satisfy the PDU requirement for re-certifying as a PMP, but to also provide wide appeal to people involved in project management regardless of whether or not they are certified PMPs. The 1.5-hour sessions meet the educational requirements to qualify for 1.5 PDU credits for maintaining PMP® certification or to meet the requirement for attending 35 hours of formal project management education prior to applying to sit for the PMP® exam.

The sessions are open to all.
