Networking Meeting

If you are looking to forge important connections, become more savvy about LinkedIn and the job search process, do not miss PMI Metrolina’s Networking event! Some experts say that 70 percent of people ended up in their current position thanks to networking. Others say it is more like 80 percent or even 85 percent. If you want to get hands-on experience in being able to expand your network this event is for you! The Networking Festival is free for PMI Metrolina members and only $25 for non-members.

Early access. This is an opportunity to, not only learn how to, but to make real connections with recruiters before you start looking for your next opportunity.

Expand your personal network. The PMI Metrolina Networking Festival isn’t just about meeting recruiters. It’s about connecting with your peers and weaving together contacts and friendships with new admits from all over the area. Regardless of your experience, you’ll meet someone with similar obstacles and experiences along the project management journey.

Engage your networking muscles. This isn’t about asking for a job. This event is about making real connections. To do that over a short interaction, you’ll have to learn how to network like a pro. Before the event even begins, accepted attendees will receive a guide covering more than just networking essentials with tips on how to get the most out of the event. This is a great opportunity for attendees to practice and refine their personal elevator pitch and try out with recruiters.

Resumes are due Thursday, October 17 at Noon to be sent for review (consider doing an automated review of your resume at https://rezscore.com/ before submitting it)

Join us for an evening of complimentary heavy appetizers, explore employment opportunities, learn how to enhance your presentation and meet companies who are actively hiring. This is a relaxed setting; you do not need to bring copies of your resume if you have met the deadline above.

You can come at any time during the evening, but the agenda is as follows:

5:30 Doors Open
6:00-6:30 Job Search Tips (e.g. Personal Branding, Resumes, LinkedIn, etc.)
6:30-6:45 Recruiter Introductions
6:45-8:00 Meet Recruiters and Networking
