"Six Key Things Every Recruiter Wish You Knew"; Speaker: Carlena “CJ” Jefferson-Sims, East Region (Wilmington & Jacksonville) Virtual Meeting

Ways of Working

As a Career Strategist and former Talent Acquisition Manager, I have often been asked by candidates why were they not selected for an interview or why was their application declined. Often, I did not have the luxury to respond to every candidate due to my obligations.  However, I leveraged LinkedIn and speaking engagements to share the key things candidates overlook or are not aware of when they are pursuing a new role.  We will review what I share and address questions from the group in hopes of assisting attendees with improving their career development strategy.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain insight on what recruiters are looking for when seeking and reviewing candidates.
  • Learn how to improve career development strategy
