Speaker: Reid M. Denson, PMP
Topic: Lessons Learned in PMO Launch
Description: Reid Denson will share observations and recommendations following the implementation and evolution of Program Management as a function in his organization and the establishment and eventual restructuring of the PMO. Reid will discuss some of the hard lessons learned in establishing a global PMO while simultaneously launching strategically important products. The presentation will provide tips on functions, PMO organizational sourcing and "right-sizing", reports and KPIs, and PM Development.
Speaker Bio: Mr. Reid Denson is a Program Manager at Hitachi Automotive Systems in Monroe, Georgia. Hitachi Automotive is a supplier of complex automotive components to the major U.S. and Japanese automakers. Reid is currently leading the program management team for power steering products, responsible for the new model launch and integrated change management. Prior to his current role, Mr. Denson served as an officer in the U.S. Army in a variety of leadership roles in the U.S., Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, and Belgium. After completion of active service, he obtained the Project Management Professional ® certification and is currently pursuing a Master of Project Management degree from Western Carolina University. Reid currently holds the rank of Major in the United States Army Reserve and is assigned to the 108th Training Command in Charlotte, NC.
