The PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® formally recognizes your knowledge of agile principles and your skill with agile techniques. It will make you shine even brighter to your employers, stakeholders and peers.  The PMI-ACP spans many approaches to agile such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Extreme Programming (XP) and Test-driven Development (TDD.) So it will increase your versatility, wherever your projects may take you.

This course will benefit anyone interested in agile project management methods. It also fulfills the 21 hour requirement for the PMI-ACP exam.  Our classes feature hands-on personal attention. We keep the class size small to enhance your learning experience. The instructors are eager to share their knowledge and help you learn. In addition we incorporate best practices for adult learners to maximize the impact of the material. Our instructor is top-notch in the field.

Learing Objectives:

Domain I: Agile principles and mindset: Explore, embrace and apply agile principles and mindset within the context of the project team and organization.

Domain II: Value Drive Delivery: Deliver valuable results by producing high-value increments for review, early and often, based on stakeholders priorities. Have the stakeholders provide feedback on these increments, and use this feedback to prioritize and improve future increments.

Domain III. Stakeholder engagement: Engage current and future interested parties by building a trusting environment that aligns their needs and expectations and balances their requests with an understanding of the cost/effort involved. Promote participation and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle and provide the tools for effective and informed decision making.

Domain IV: Team Performance: Create an environment of trust, learning, collaboration, and conflict resolution that promotes team self-organization, enhances relationships among team members, and cultivates a culture of high performance.

Domain V: Adaptive planning: Produce and maintain an evolving plan, from initiation to closure, based on goals, values, risks, constraints, stakeholder feedback, and review findings.

Domain VI: Problem detection and resolution: Continuously identify problems, impediments, and risks; prioritize and resolve in a timely manner; monitor and communicate the problem resolution status; and implement process improvements to prevent them from ocurring again.

Domain VII: Continuous improvement: Continuously improve the quality, effectiveness, and value of the product, the process, and the team.

Important Information Regarding PMI Metrolina Chapter Member Pricing:

Before you can join the PMI Metrolina Chapter, you must first be a member of PMI.  PMI Metrolina Chapter membership costs $25 for individuals and special discounted pricing for full time students.

For more information on joining PMI and the PMI Metrolina chapter please visit the PMI website.  There will be no adjustment to the fee charged for the PMI-ACP® Prep Course if you become a PMI Metrolina Chapter member after you register for the PMI-ACP® Prep Course.  Due to the technical and procedural limitations you will not able to register for the PMI-ACP® Prep Course at the member rate on the same day that you join the PMI Metrolina Chapter. The reason for that is that joining a local PMI chapter is a function managed by PMI through their website. After joining the PMI Metrolina Chapter on the PMI website, it will take anywhere from one to three business days for PMI to process your new chapter membership. The PMI Metrolina Chapter database is automatically updated during a nightly download only after PMI has completed the processing of your new chapter membership. So remember to provide adequate time to allow your chapter membership to process before you register for the PMI-ACP® Prep Course through the website.

Please contact the Certification Training team at vpprofdevelopment@pmi-metrolina.org if you have joined the PMI Metrolina Chapter and are unable to register for the PMI-ACP® Prep Course as a chapter member due to a technical or timing related issue.

Exam Prep Course Re-attendance Policy: In certain situations, PMI Metrolina Chapter will allow an individual that has previously attended an exam prep course to attend a subsequent exam prep course for the same certification at no cost - provided space is available.  If you have questions regarding this policy or wish to re-attend an exam prep course, send an email to vpprofdevelopment@pmi-metrolina.org
