MJV will walk participants through the relevance and value of Design Thinking to solve human-challenges in a world of constantly changing needs. Additionally, participants will understand the main 4 phases of this process and learn about the tools, tips, and benefits of each stage.

Presenter: Rebecca Díaz-Atienza MJV Head of Innovation
Presenter Bio:
Rebecca Díaz-Atienza is the Head of Innovation for MJV Innovation and Technology in the US. She leads a team focused on driving innovation through human-centric approaches, aimed at identifying opportunities in current and future scenarios. Rebecca has experience with innovation design, research, strategy, organizational culture, and business transformation. She has supported companies such as Delta Air Lines and Coca-Cola in the integration of Agile and Design Thinking methodologies, and coached teams in the application of these methodologies for the development of innovative strategic solutions. Rebecca has a M.F.A. in Design Management from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and a Masters in Architecture from the University of Puerto Rico, where she is originally from. Rebecca is passionate about identifying unmet needs, solving problems through human-centered design solutions, and leading others to do the same.
Mauricio Vianna - CEO MJV
Computer Engineer at PUC-RJ (1990), MSc. in Computer Science at IIT - Illinois Institute of Technology (1992), and Ph.D. in Computer Science at IIT (1995).
As a consultant he has worked for: Chicago Board of Trade Clearing Co.(USA), Performance Computing Inc.(USA), Miller&Fairchild Inc.(USA), R&R Donnelley(USA), Boavista Bank, Secretaria Municipal da Fazenda of Rio de Janeiro, Telefonica Celular, Claro, Vivo, Oracle and Bradesco Seguros.
He has published several articles at international conferences of IEEE and ACM about Software Engineering and Active Databases. Currently, he is working in projects in the areas of Bank Innovation, Mobile VAS, Auto/Health Insurance Innovation, Social Systems Innovation and Pharmaceutical.
