Description:

Work is often defined by how it is structured. This session will dive into how organizational structure and design thinking at the organizational level can impact the delivery of strategy from business leaders and project/program managers partake in to facilitate the strategic execution of project deliverables. With the structure of work changing through automation, worker sovereignty, and worker flexibility understanding how organizational structure shapes decision making is an area of the workplace that is important and can help leaders within companies utilize existing project professionals to serve as organizational connectors serving the enterprise.

Objectives

• An open discussion with attendees on their experiences with different organizational structures and how they have navigated through challenging situations.
• Discuss areas where organizational structure may expediate or hinder the execution of strategic project and product roadmaps.

Speaker:  Craig Oliver

Speaker Bio:

Craig Oliver is a Senior Associate at Turnberry Solutions placed at a financial services client. Craig’s experience includes program management, process improvement, and business agility. Helping organizations remove silos, streamline decision making, and working more efficiently to reduce rework are his passions. He has earned the CSM and PSPO certification in addition to being a graduate of American University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Management. His interest in project management began through his experience planning, developing, executing, and documenting an Eagle Scout project renovating a cemetery dating back to the 1700s. Outside of work he can be found biking, hiking, grilling, or discovering new podcasts.
