Ways of Working

Topic:

Has your organization undertaken an agile journey? Have you seen foundations of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) at your organization? Do you want to gain a better understanding about how scaling agile impacts teams, budgeting, and ways of working can yield better results across your organization. In an ever-changing world the understanding of how to get to solutions and working prototypes quicker is a way to stand out from competitors. This session will focus on how agile budgeting can be incorporated into organizations and where possible pain points exist. Overviews of agile budgeting, emergent value streams, and budgeting under the Scaled Agile Framework will be discussed. At the end of the session attendees should have a better understanding of the way agile and emergent budgeting can be structured with an understanding of best practices and pain points which exists regardless of the specific budgeting method selected.

Objectives/Takeaways:

  • The concept of funding teams instead of projects.
  • Constraints and impediments of working with planned and actual budgets.
  • How project and program leaders can support agile budgeting.
  • Overview of budgeting techniques under the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Overview of emergent value streams.
