Topic Description: 

Have you ever wondered what it’s like working as a Project Manager and changing industries? Well come learn from those with many years of experience as a Project Manager and also learn how they managed to transition from one project industry to the next.

Joseph Bonansinga, PMP, CSM, CSPO has over 15 years experience as a Project Manager and leader, building global financial applications. During his 30 years on Wall Street, Joe has worked for a number of financial firms including Citigroup. He is currently a Product Owner and Technical Delivery Manager for an Innovative Technology team at a major financial institution in Charlotte. Joe has experience leading global teams, and enjoys being able to work with both technologists and business sponsors - team-building across disciplines. Joe's hobbies include travel with his wife, photography, reading, and practicing music. He has served in volunteer roles at PMI Metrolina including Co-Chair of Uptown Events, and is currently involved with the Mentoring Program.

Brian Dillahunt, PMP has over 20 years of banking experience with a focus in Technology, Business, and Global Project Management. Brian has supported major merger initiatives for Bank of America and Wells Fargo and currently leads a team of Transition Managers responsible for Wells Fargo Wholesale and Wealth Investment Management global transitions. Brian attended ECPI College of Technology and majored in Computer Science with a concentration in Network Administration. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP) and enjoys sports and spending time with family and friends. Brian has a strong passion for volunteering and serves a mentor for the PMI-Metrolina chapter and has also learned a foreign language to better assist immigrants and refugees who have re-located to the United States. He is currently serving as the Co-chair of Mentorship and previously served as Co-chair of Social Media

Felix Hernandez, CISM, PMP, ITIL, owns and operates a consulting company called All American Technology Solutions Group, LLC based out of Duluth, GA. He has over 20 years of experience in Information Technology, Information Security, Project Management, and Business Development. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with executives to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and timely technology solutions to their everyday business needs.

While he spends most of his time working with clients, Felix also spends time in the classroom as a Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Doctoral Student at Capella University and as an Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing Professor at Gwinnett Technical College, Professor of Information Systems at Interactive College of Technology, and Professor of Enterprise Risk Management at Post University. His primary goal is to educate and motivate individuals to innovate with technology.

This is a working meeting designed for PMI Chapter members south of the city including Ballantyne.

Community Chapter Meeting 

As a means of helping chapter and local community members who are certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) satisfy the continuing education requirements for re-certification, PMI Metrolina Chapter arranges its monthly meeting schedule to allow a 1 hour PDU training session to be incorporated into its normal meeting.

Topics presented during these sessions are designed to not only satisfy the PDU requirement for re-certifying as a PMP, but to also provide wide appeal to people involved in project management regardless of whether or not they are certified PMPs. The 1-hour sessions meet the educational requirements to qualify for 1 PDU credits for maintaining PMP® certification or to meet the requirement for attending 35 hours of formal project management education prior to applying to sit for the PMP® exam.

The sessions are open to all.
