Chapter Meeting Events:

All Community Chapter Meetings will be converted from In-person to Virtual WebEx Meetings where possible effective Monday, March 16^th, 2020.  This includes Asheville, Ballantyne, Cabarrus County, Charlotte, Fayetteville, Huntersville Jacksonville, Mooresville, University, West Lake Norman, and Wilmington Communities.   All registrants will be emailed an WebEx Link for the upcoming chapter meetings the morning of the meeting to give everyone the opportunity to register the day before. 

Parallels in Project Planning and Financial Planning

Speaker: Michael Fogarty

Topic Description:  The parallels will compare the Planning in the project life cycle to planning for financial stability throughout our lives and into our retirement years.  Taking into consideration the milestones in life, how to prepare for them.  It will also discuss aspects of living in retirement – the cost of food, healthcare, preparing for Social Security and Medicare.

Speaker Bio: Michael Fogarty is a financial services industry consultant with 35+ years of experience, with 25 of those in project management. He is a PMP since 2006 and has an MBA in accounting. Michael is also a Financial Advisor (Series 7, Series 66, Life and Health Certified). He is a fervent believer in lifelong learning and as he transitions further into his career desires to bring education to individuals and businesses stressing the importance of planning their financial futures, to achieve the dignity they deserve in their non-working years.
