Effective Project Communications
This presentation will provide some hopefully insightful and humorous insights into project communication, comparing theory and reality, consistency and situational factors, communication with purpose, and status habits.
Learning Objectives:
- The participants, by the end of this session, will be able to develop and implement a comprehensive communication plan that aligns with project goals, effectively engages stakeholders, and utilize appropriate communication tools and techniques across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Participants will be able to evaluate and apply communication strategies that ensure message clarity, minimize misunderstandings, and foster stakeholder engagement across diverse project environments.
- Participants will receive tools that can prevent miscommunication and negative outcomes for goal attainment and team cohesiveness.
- Participants will probably laugh at least three times during the session, including when they notice that multiple objectives are repeated twice in prior learning objectives.
Speaker: Ed Johnson

Speaker Bio:
Ed Johnson is at the former PMICarolina – Community Chair. He has led Efforts in App Development, IT infrastructure, and Organizational improvements spanning multiple industries including Finance, Insurance, Retail, Home Improvement, and Technology. Ed has led those effort
in a shipload of methodologies. He once ran the Soundboard for one of the people who went to prison for the Watergate Cover-up. He is the former neighbor of the founder of the Southern Rock band Molly Hatchett, and once his mothercalled the police on him.
