Topic: Product Management vs Project Management - What's the Difference?

Learning Objective: Project and product sound similar and the two concepts are often confused with each other. However in practice they are very different and require different skills, governance and mindsets. At this event you will learn the concepts of Product and Project Management and how you can leverage your skillset for your next opportunity.  With agile becoming a major way of working with today's projects, there are things that each of us need to keep in mind and understand.  During our session, we will define each and the differences, closing out with some things you can do to begin to shift your mindset. 

Speaker Bio: After spending a number of years as an Agile coach and trainer with various organizations, Leslie is currently working for AvidXchange as an Enterprise Scrum Master. Leslie has a background steeped in Agile. She is known for her training and coaching skills in all things Agile – including various methodologies and frameworks. Leslie comes from a technical background and can relate to a variety of skillsets and personalities, including individual contributors and executives alike. She has a knack for helping organizations, and their leaders, transition from a traditional model to an Agile one. Leslie’s focus is on continuous improvement and helping others to see the value in doing the same. She continues to help many teams, and organizations, understand the value in being more Agile and how to shift their mindset to do so.
