Presentation Description:

For large organizations adopting scrum for 50-400 teams, there are new levels in the organization to cater for the funding, and also programs for managing groupings of teams. During this talk, we will examine the program level for large organizations, and how scrum teams are organized within programs. The different roles at the program level will be shown, some fulfilled by former project managers. This is an intermediate talk and discussion. It is open to everyone. Participants will get more benefit if they are familiar with:
 
  • Concept of scrum (or lean agile) teams
  • Understanding of the roles supporting an agile team (scrum master/product owner)
  • Understand the concept of a product backlog and sprint backlog
  • The goals for the talk are:
  • Understand how a program is managed in the agile world.
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities to support the program.

Presenter Bio: Bronwyn Falconer is an educator and agile coach, helping teams become self-managing with agile methodologies. Bronwyn has worked over 10 years as a scrum master and recently 8 years as an agile coach contracting with Bank of America. After a longer career in project/program management, she is committed to helping others learn about lean agile.
